What is AGEs?

ANKASCIN® 568 Act as AGEs Signaling Deactivator

ANKASCIN® 568 addresses the root cause to inhibit AGE/RAGE signaling-caused oxidative stress to decrease inflammatory cytokines, like TNFα, IL-6.⁴

Anti-AGEs (antiglycation)

In an in vivo study, serum and hepatic AGEs were significantly increased by MG induction as compared to the control group. Monascin (MS) markedly inhibited an increase in serum and hepatic AGEs levels and promote MG metabolism in MG-treated rats.⁵

Supporting a Healthy Inflammatory System

We measured serum inflammatory cytokines, including TNF-α and IL-1β levels in MG-treated rats. The TNF-α and IL-1β levels in the serum and liver were significantly suppressed by monascin (MS) administration in MG-treated rats.⁵

Enhancing Detoxification Enzyme Capabilities

As an Nrf2 and PPARs activator, ANKASCIN® 568 significantly enhances enzyme activity in three phases of detoxification6, 7:

  • Phase I: Cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes
  • Phase II: glutathione S-transferases (GST)
  • Phase III: ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters

Advanced Antioxidant Properties

Studies using an alcohol-induced mouse model have shown that taking ANKASCIN® 568 can activate the body’s antioxidant system. This activation increases the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD), as well as the levels of glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and glutathione (GSH). Thus, ANKASCIN® 568 provides antioxidant support to counteract the aging effects of alcohol consumption.⁹
